Subject: Erasmus Mundus for Lexicography Students

We are pleased to announce that the ''European Master in Lexicography''
(EMLex) was chosen as one of 15 new Erasmus Mundus programs. Thus, starting
with winter semester 2016/17, the EMLex consortium can offer 15 scholarships
per year to excellent students worldwide.

EMLex:
EMLex is an international Master's degree program consisting of eight partner
universities in Europe (Germany, Spain, France, Portugal, Italy, Poland,
Hungary) and South Africa. It promotes the international and interdisciplinary
training of lexicographers (unique in Germany and Europe in its present
structure), teaches lexicographical theories on a high international level,
and contains a distinct orientation towards the practice of creating
dictionaries. In addition, it brings together students from different European
countries with a joint summer semester at one of the partner universities.

Erasmus Mundus:
Erasmus Mundus is one of the different support schemes combined under the name
''Erasmus+'' which are offered by the EU. It supports the mobility of
individuals for the purpose of learning and is available to students
worldwide. The scholarships include contribution to travel costs, installation
costs, participation costs, and subsistence costs.

Prerequisites:
The scholarships are available for students with a language-related Higher
Educational institution Degree and proficiency in English and German.

Dates:
Application deadline for the upcoming intake is 15 March 2016.
