The Language and Hearing Center Amsterdam (LHCA) organizes this workshop
around the theme Child, Language and Hearing to honor the center’s official
opening. The workshop aims to combine the expertise and insights of
researchers and professionals in the areas of linguistics and audiology.

The Language and Hearing Center Amsterdam (LHCA) is an interdisciplinary
collaboration between researchers from different faculties and departments at
the VU University Amsterdam (VU) and the VU Medical Center Amsterdam (VUmc).
The research focusses on the language and hearing in child development. The
LHCA was founded aiming to form a multidisciplinary platform that combines
education and research around language and hearing at VU and VUmc Amsterdam,
creating a local center of excellence and a national and international
reference for groundbreaking research, education and expertise.


Call for Abstracts:

Extended abstract deadline

After the lectures and panel discussion, posters on the topic (child) language
and hearing will be presented. It is still possible to submit an abstract
(max. 250 words) for poster presentation  by sending an e-mail to
lhcaworkshop2016 at gmail.com by January 29th.
