Meeting Description:

The Language Institute of Thammasat University will host its fourth conference
on Foreign Language Teaching and Learning on June 24 and 25, 2016 at the
Ambassador Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand. The conference aims to celebrate the
LEARN (Language Education and Acquisition Research Network) Journal and to
provide a forum for language learning researchers, both education-based and
knowledge-based, to contribute findings and ideas that will lead to a greater
understanding of the development of an L1/L2. Participants will gain new
insights from detailed discussions focusing upon language education and
language acquisition research. FLLT 2016 will also provide attendees the
opportunity to meet with academics from diverse areas within language
learning.

We are pleased to announce the following plenary speakers:

Professor David Singleton, the University of Pannonia, Veszprem, Hungary, and
the School of Higher Education, Konin, Poland

Professor Yuki Hirose, Department of Language and Information Sciences, The
University of Tokyo

Professor Budsaba Kanoksilpatham, Department of English, Silpakorn University


Call for Papers: 

Papers from all theoretical frameworks are welcome. The language for paper
presentations is English. Abstracts will be reviewed for clarity of
theoretical framework, methodology, originality, significance, and
organization. Each paper is allotted 20 minutes for the oral presentation and
10 minutes for questions.

We welcome abstracts of approximately 500 words in any of the following areas:

Second Language Acquisition (SLA)
L1/L2 Processing
Typological Universals and SLA
Foreign Language Learning Strategies
Foreign Language Skill Development
Autonomous Learning
Language Testing and Evaluation
Teacher Education and Foreign Language Learning
English for Specific Purposes
The Application of English for Career Development

Abstract are to be submitted on-line via www.fllt2016.com. Click on
'Registration' and fill in all fields to create and account. After the account
has been created, the on-line abstract submission will be available. 

Each author is allowed to submit a maximum of one abstract for a single-author
and one for a joint-paper.
