Description:

The English Department at the University of Lausanne invites applications for
a position of Maître-assistant·e (fixed-term Lectureship) in English
Linguistics.

Description des tâches:

- Teaching courses on English language and linguistics (5 hours a week per
semester)
- Carrying out individual research
- Carrying out administrative tasks in the Department of English and possibly
outside of the department depending on the level of French.

Profil souhaité:

The successful candidate will have a doctorate in (English) Linguistics and an
excellent research profile in a sub-field of English Linguistics. S/he should
be able teach across a broad spectrum of subjects in English Linguistics.
We welcome applications from candidates with expertise in Applied Linguistics.
We are particularly interested in scholars of language acquisition, bi- and
multilingualism, language policy and planning, intercultural communication,
discourse analysis, and pragmatics.

Working knowledge of French is an advantage.
