The role will be within the English Language and Linguistics team in the
School of English and you will be expected to contribute to teaching and
related administration. You should have (or be close to completing) a PhD in
historical linguistics. The ability to convene and deliver the first and
second-year undergraduate modules in Early Englishes and Old English is
required. You will also be expected to contribute to other modules, to
supervise dissertations on a range of topics and undertake appropriate
administrative duties.

The English Language and Linguistics programme is ranked 2nd in the UK by the
Complete University Guide.
