Call Deadline: 26-Jun-2016

Meeting Description:

The international scientific conference E-factor, which will take place on
27-28 October 2016 at the University of Naples “L'Orientale,” aims to
investigate a series of factors that have an impact on the study of English in
the digital age including Education, E-learning, Emotivation, and Empowerment.

The conference examines aspects of English as a foreign language (EFL) through
the lenses of linguistics, neurolinguistics, psycholinguistics, methodology
and teacher-training in order to identify harmonious, effective and
long-lasting learning paths. E-factor aims to observe theories, phenomena and
procedures from authentic perspectives so as to propose theoretical
validations, augmentations and innovations in applied and technology-based
areas of English education. Such observations are essential in the
contemporary world in which teachers and learners are embedded. Their daily
interactions with language policies, innovative procedures, and digital tools
pose new challenges and require new interpretations regarding the use, misuse
and/or abuse of English in formal contexts of acquisition.

Additional details about this conference are available at the following link:

The LINGUIST List is under the umbrella of Indiana University and
as such can receive donations through Indiana University Foundation. We
also collect donations via eLinguistics Foundation, a registered 501(c)
Non Profit organization with the federal tax number 45-4211155. Either
way, the donations can be offset against your federal and sometimes your
state tax return (U.S. tax payers only). For more information visit the
IRS Web-Site, or contact your financial advisor.

Many companies also offer a gift matching program, such that
they will match any gift you make to a non-profit organization.
Normally this entails your contacting your human resources department
and sending us a form that the Indiana University Foundation fills in
and returns to your employer. This is generally a simple administrative
procedure that doubles the value of your gift to LINGUIST, without
costing you an extra penny. Please take a moment to check if
your company operates such a program.

Thank you very much for your support of LINGUIST!
