Meeting Description:

O XV Simpósio da Rede Ibero-americana de Terminologia (RITerm 2016) será
realizado na Faculdade de Filosofia, Letras e Ciências Humanas da Universidade
de São Paulo, em São Paulo, Brasil, de 18 a 21 de outubro de 2016.

Esse simpósio dá continuidade aos simpósios anteriores que têm sido realizados
bienalmente, em territórios ibero-americanos, desde a criação da Rede RITerm
em 1988 em Caracas, Venezuela. Representa a 15ª edição de um evento dedicado à
Terminologia, em suas vertentes teóricas e práticas.

Riterm 2016 está dirigido a pesquisadores e professores, alunos de
pós-graduação e de graduação, grupos de pesquisa e organismos, públicos e
privados, e a todas as pessoas interessadas na Terminologia e nas atividades
terminológicas.

O tema que norteará as atividades do XV Simpósio objetiva mostrar que a
Terminologia, muitas vezes vinculada apenas às ciências e aos cientistas, está
também presente em todas as nossas atividades: nas indústrias, nas empresas,
nas atividades administrativas, no ensino escolar, na prática de esportes, na
culinária, nas atividades artesanais; a Terminologia, enfim, está presente em
todas as atividades cotidianas.

Assim, com o objetivo de enfatizar o lugar e a importância que os termos e as
atividades terminológicas exercem no cotidiano dos cidadãos e as diferentes
formas de facilitar a divulgação das terminologias a esses cidadãos, o XV
Simpósio Ibero-americano de Terminologia será dedicado ao tema Terminologia e
vida cotidiana: desafios para a construção de uma sociedade mais cidadã.
