Description:

Die wissenschaftliche Ausrichtung soll möglichst viele Facetten des komplexen
Verhältnisses von Sprache und Gesellschaft und des Gebrauchs der deutschen
Sprache in sozialen Kontexten umfassen. In diesem Rahmen sind beispielsweise
Forschungsschwerpunkte wie Varietätenlinguistik, Interkulturelle Linguistik,
Gesprächsanalyse, Interaktionale Linguistik, Medienlinguistik und
kulturanalytische Linguistik möglich.

Erwartet wird die Bereitschaft zur interdisziplinären Zusammenarbeit,
insbesondere auch abteilungsübergreifend am Institut für Germanistik und mit
dem Center for the Study of Language and Society, sowie zur Einwerbung von
Drittmitteln. Voraussetzungen sind die Habilitation, ein fortgeschrittenes
Habilitationsprojekt oder gleichwertige wissenschaftliche Leistungen. Den
Bewerberinnen und Bewerbern wird empfohlen, das Merkblatt »Professur für
Deutsche Sprachwissenschaft« anzufordern. Die Universität Bern strebt eine
Erhöhung des Anteils von Frauen in leitenden akademischen Positionen an und
fordert deshalb Wissenschaftlerinnen nachdrücklich zur Bewerbung auf.
Die Ausschreibung erfolgt „open rank“ (Ordinariat, Extraordinariat oder
Assistenzprofessur mit Tenure Track).

Bewerbungen mit Curriculum Vitae, Verzeichnis der Publikationen, Liste der
eingeworbenen Drittmittel, Angaben über bisherige Lehrtätigkeit,
Lehrevaluationen und die Mitarbeit in akademischen Gremien sind bis zum 1.
