Abstract:

Seit 30 Jahren ist keine deutschsprachige Einführung in die Kontrastive
Linguistik mehr erschienen. In diesem Buch für Studienanfänger, aber auch für
fortgeschrittene Lerner werden verschiedene Sprachen, vor allem Deutsch,
Englisch, Französisch und Griechisch, auf allen sprachlichen Ebenen kontrastiv
miteinander verglichen. Dabei werden grundlegende Fragen der Kontrastiven
Linguistik geklärt. Der Band spannt einen Bogen über Morphologie und
Wortbildung, Lexik und Semantik, bis zur Pragmatik und Syntax. Auch die
Übersetzungsproblematik wird erörtert sowie der Frage nachgegangen, wie in
unterschiedlichen Sprachen die (kommunikativen) Lasten zwischen Sprecher und
Hörer verteilt sind.
