Meeting Description:

The Language Institute of Thammasat University (LITU) and Chulalongkorn
University Language Institute (CULI), two of Thailand's most prominent
language institutions carry on the mission to promote English language
teaching (ELT) practitioners and professionals throughout Thailand, ASEAN, and
beyond. In the year 2016, LITU and CULI call upon academics, scholars and
practitioners to gather and share thoughts and ideas regarding various aspects
of ELT in our biennial joint international conference, 2nd LITU-CULI
international conference, held 6-7 October at Pullman Bangkok King Power Hotel
in Thailand. Participants will also gain insights of contemporary beliefs and
practice in the ELT arena. It will be a great chance to establish and renew
professional networks among acquaintances sharing the same line of profession.

Invitation to submit:

Abstracts from ELT frameworks are welcome. The language for paper
presentations is English. Abstracts will be reviewed for clarity of
theoretical framework, methodology, originality, significance, and
organization. Each oral presentation is allotted 30 minutes, which covers both
the presentation and the Q&A period.

Focused Areas:

We welcome abstracts of approximately 250 words in any of the following areas:

English for Specific Purposes (ESP)
Cultural awareness
Intercultural communication
Learner autonomy
Developing learning strategies
Technology for ELT
Curriculum/syllabus design
Materials design and development
Teacher education and development
World Englishes
Innovative approaches in EIL
Approaches in EFL/ESL teaching
Classroom research
Reflective teaching techniques
Language assessment and evaluation

Abstracts are to be submitted on-line at

Each author is allowed to submit a maximum of one abstract for a single-author
and one for a joint-paper.
