The Postgraduate Academic Researchers in Linguistics at York (PARLAY)
conference has reached its fourth year after three successful conferences.
PARLAY is a broad-ranging event which warmly invites postgraduate researchers
from all walks of language study to share their research.


Call for Papers: 

We are pleased to announce the Call for Papers for the Postgraduate and
Academic Researchers in Linguistics at York conference (PARLAY) is now open.
PARLAY 2016 is being run as in the previous year as an interdisciplinary event
with a focus on language, and its organising committee is comprised of
postgraduate students from the Departments of Language and Linguistic Science
and Education.

The conference will be held on Friday 2nd September 2016 in the Berrick Saul
Building at the University of York, UK, which acts as a vibrant hub of
research for postgraduates in the arts and humanities.

We invite postgraduate (Masters and Ph.D.) students and early career
researchers to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations on any topic
in language and linguistics and all language-related areas in education. These
may include, but are not restricted to: applied linguistics, cognitive
linguistics, computational linguistics, conversation analysis, corpus
linguistics, discourse analysis, forensic linguistics, historical linguistics,
language acquisition, language learning and teaching, language planning and
policy, language revitalisation, morphology, neurolinguistics, phonetics,
phonology, pragmatics, psycholinguistics, semantics, sociolinguistics, syntax.
