Special Qualifications: - Experiences in advising academic writing; Writing tutor experience at a writing center or similar program in a university preferred

- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English required, proficiency in Japanese is an advantage

- M.A. or above in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), Literature, Humanities, Rhetoric and Composition, or Scientific and Technical Writing preferred

- Proficiency in the use of MS Office applications skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) required

- The ability to coordinate activities and events

- Presentation and public speaking skills 


Description:
The Writing Advisor Fellow will provide consultation about academic writing in
English, such as drafts for academic  journals  and  proposal  abstract 
drafts  for  international  conferences and  also  to plan, organize, and lead
 seminars  and  workshops  related  to  improving  Hiroshima University
faculty members’ academic writing  and  presentations.
