Meeting Description:

The year 2016 marks the 400th death anniversary of one of the greatest English
playwrights, William Shakespeare. The effort here is to commemorate the death
of this great dramatist immortalized by his landmark works in poetry and
plays.

‘Shakespeare’ is not just a name for a lover of literature. The name stands
for a complete genre of fictional drama studies. The way characters have been
portrayed in his writings find relevance even after four centuries of their
creation. It is always a great pleasure to revisit his plays and analyze his
characters in various lights depending on the changing social scenarios.

Call for Papers: 

Inviting abstracts for Paper presentations/and proposals for Oral/Poster
presentations dealing with the sub themes of the Conference. Complete
registration forms, with abstracts and full papers, adhering to the important
date should be emailed to rvshss2016 at gmail.com.

Some of the sub- themes that frequently occur in Shakespearean plays and poems
have been listed underneath. The CFPs are on the following (but not limited
to) sub themes:

- Gender and Power
- Gender and Political Constructions
- Submissiveness and Dominance
- Virtues and Vices
- Language and Gender
- Catharsis of the Protagonist
- Love and Betrayal

Abstract length should not exceed 500 words. Full Paper length should not
exceed 2000 words. Both, the Abstract and the Full Paper are to be preceded by
a 50 words bio-note of the author. Full Papers must adhere to the MLA style
for Documentation.
