Young and research-intensive, Nanyang Technological University (NTU Singapore)
is ranked 13th globally.  It is also placed 1st amongst the world’s best young
universities.

The Centre for Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (CLASS), College of
Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences, NTU, invites applications for
postdoctoral/research fellowships for the Academic Year 2017. Successful
candidates will be affiliated with one or more than one of the constituent
schools of the College.

Applications are welcome for the research themes listed below. Preference will
be given to projects that cut across disciplinary boundaries in the
humanities, arts, and social sciences. Successful candidates are expected to
begin their fellowships in July or August 2017.

Themes:

- Global Asia: Asian history, culture, and society (e.g. political
uncertainty) from a global perspective
- Health and Society: Healthcare issues from humanistic and social scientific
perspectives (e.g. aging; communication; healthcare delivery)
- Science, Technology, and Society
- *Water Research from Sustainability, Historical, and Sociological viewpoints
- Humanities and Social Sciences

* Appointed fellows will work jointly with the Nanyang Environment and Water
Research Institute.
