Title of presentation: 25 words maximum
Proposal for presentation: 200 words maximum
Short summary of presentation: 50 words maximum
Biographical statement of presenter(s) 50 words maximum per presenter

Themes of the conference include, yet are not limited to:

2. Development of Academic literacy
3. Academic writing and publication
4. Teaching academic English through technologies
5. Academic assessment and evaluation
6. Academic English teacher development
7. EAP curriculum design 
8. EAP teaching pedagogy and model
9. EAP and critical thinking
10. Connection between EGP and EAP (EGAP and ESAP)
11. EAP class materials and text-books development
12. EAP, teacher development 

Five types of presentations:
 
1. Paper presentation (20-minute presentation + 5-minute Q & A, 1-3
presenters)
 Present ongoing or completed research results

2. Workshop (50 minutes, 1-4 presenters)
A hands-on session to address a topic

3. Forum (50 minutes, 3-6 presenters)
Present a topic (minimum 3 panel members) and discuss it with participants

4. Demonstration session (15 minutes, 1-3 presenters)
Present and share innovative and practical ideas or teaching materials with
participants   

5. Poster display (1 hour, 1-2 presenters)
Display on-going or completed research results on a notice board and answer
participants’ questions
 
Pre-conference Workshops:

Two pre-conference workshops are to be organized by CEAPA Center for Research
Writing and Publishing in English on May 19, 2017:

Pre-conference workshop 1: Using corpus technologies for EAP teaching and
research (Presenter/s to be confirmed, Morning, May 19)
Pre-conference workshop 2: Publishing in international journals (Co-hosted by
Dr Yongyan Li, University of Hong Kong, China, and Dr. Guangwei Hu, Nanyang
Technological University, Singapore, Afternoon, May 19) 

Conference fee: 800 RMB or 130 US dollars
Pre-conference workshop fee: 100 RMB or 16 US dollars for each workshop
