Scripta Manent Themed Issue: The Language of Tourism

Call for Papers:

Tourism discourse and communication have attracted the attention of scholars
from a range of different scientific fields such as sociology, anthropology,
communication studies, etc. Recently, interest for the language of tourism has
been increasing among applied linguists as well, however, this research field
is still in its early stage and many fundamental issues remain to be
investigated. In this themed issue of Scripta Manent, we therefore aim to
bring together scholarly contributions that address tourism discourse or the
language of tourism from various contexts and perspectives. We encourage a
broad range of methodological approaches and theoretical frameworks. Whatever
the approach taken, it is essential that papers include implications of
findings for educational contexts.
