Meeting Description:

The University of Central Lancashire will host the 4th International
Conference on Modern Foreign Languages, Linguistics and Literature on 1 June
2016. Our keynote speaker will be Dr Oksana Afitska (University of Sheffield).
The conference is open to postgraduate and early-career researchers (within 7
years of completion of their PhD) who would like to present their research on
any area that falls within modern foreign languages, linguistics and
literature.

The conference is free to attend and refreshments will be provided. Please

Call for Papers:

Paper submission guidelines

Abstracts should be no longer than 400 words (excluding title, keywords, and
references) and should be submitted as a word attachment to
pgconferenceadmin at uclan.ac.uk using the participant’s university email. The
submission email should contain the participant’s name, affiliation and email
address.

The abstract should be written in Times New Roman, 12 pt, single spacing but
should not include the author’s name or any other identifying information. The
deadline is 15 February 2017.
Papers may be submitted in three strands: research (reporting on data arising
from field testing), conceptual (theoretical studies) or poster presentations.
No late submissions will be accepted. All submissions will be blind
peer-reviewed. Accepted abstracts will be allotted 20 minutes for presentation
and 10 minutes for discussion.

Abstract submission: 15 February 2017
Notification to presenters: 1 March 2016
Conference: 1 June 2016

Publication guidelines:

Papers which focus on second language teaching and research, TESOL and applied
linguistics will be considered for publication in a special edition of the
peer-reviewed Journal of Second Language Teaching and Research
(http://pops.uclan.ac.uk/index.php/jsltr/) soon after the conference. Please
submit your full papers to the conference email address.
