The English Language and Literature (ELL) Academic Group is one of the twelve
Academic Groups at the National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological
University.  We pride ourselves in having a research culture that embraces
diversity and multidisciplinary perspectives, as well as a strong focus on
maintaining excellence in our teaching and pedagogy.

The department has both academic and pedagogy program commitments, and offers
undergraduate and graduate programs as well as in-service and pre-service
teacher certification courses.  Research oriented graduate work is also
offered for the Master of Arts and the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees.  

We invite qualified applicants to apply for the following academic position:

Lecturer/ Senior Lecturer
· Communication skills
· Grammar
· Phonology
· Basic Concepts in Linguistics

Requirements:

Applicants should have an established track record in tertiary teaching for
one or more of the areas listed above as well as administrative experience in
co-ordinating large courses. The appointment will be made at the Lecturer or
Senior Lecturer level depending on qualifications and suitability.

Responsibilities:

Successful applicants will be expected to contribute to teaching and course
development at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, as well as related
activities such as the supervision of student teachers during teaching
practice. They are also expected to undertake research projects and to publish
from their work.
