Marang: Journal of Language and Literature is calling for papers for
publication in 2017. Marang is a refereed journal devoted to the study of
Language, Linguistics and Literature. We welcome articles in these disciplines
from scholars anywhere in the world. The articles should be based on cutting
edge research with new findings, and should interrogate important issues in
Language, Linguistics and Literature in the world. Articles will be subjected
to peer-review by experts in the discipline before they can be accepted for
publication. All articles must be original and must not have been or be
considered for publication anywhere else. Contributors must follow the
following submission guidelines. 

Please send an electronic copy of your manuscript in MS Word as an email
attachment to the editor at the following email address:
letsholor at mopipi.ub.bw. 

Manuscripts that contain special symbols, such as IPA fonts, should have the
fonts embedded in the document or be sent in both MS Word and pdf. 

Book reviews, along with the books, should be sent to:

The Reviews Editor, Marang, Department of English, P/Bag 00703, Gaborone,
Botswana. 

Submissions must have a covering letter/email confirming that all authors have
agreed to the submission and that the article is not being considered for
publication anywhere.

Manuscripts should be typed, double-spaced, have a title and the name(s) of
the author(s),full postal address/phone/fax/email, short biographical
notes,paginated, a 200 word abstract and up to six keywords. The abstract
should succinctly summarize the paper and include purpose or research problem,
the methodology which includes the research design, sample, and data
collection methods, a summary of research findings and conclusions.

The journal uses footnotes but must be kept to the minimum. Footnotes are
indicated with superscript numbers. References should follow latest APA:
author, (date, page) or (author, date, page). Provide alphabetized ''Works
Cited'' containing all works cited. Titles of journals should not be
abbreviated.

Tables should be typed (double line-spaced)and have short descriptive captions
and their source(s) typed below.

Articles must be written in clear English, avoiding jargon. If technical terms
or acronyms must be included, define them when first used. Use non-racist,
non-sexist language and plurals rather than he/she.

Use single quotation marks with double quotes inside single quotes. Dates
should be presented: 30 November 2016. Do not use points in abbreviations,
contractions or acronyms (e.g. AD, USA, Dr, PhD).
