The Journal of Modern Languages (JML) is a biannually peer-reviewed journal
published by the Faculty of Languages and Linguistics at the University of
Malaya. Founded in 1983 at the University of Malaya, the JML is dedicated to
the publication of significant research findings of an empirical, experimental
or conceptual nature in the broad field of modern language studies.

The JML welcomes papers addressing critical analyses of modern languages from
various disciplines including, but not limited to:

- Applied Linguistics 
- Sociolinguistics 
- Discourse Studies
- Translation and Interpretation Studies

To submit a manuscript:

Please refer to the Journal's Instructions for contributors
(jml.um.edu.my/submissionrules) before submitting your paper.

A submission with minor corrections as recommended by reviewers is usually
published within six months.
