Meeting Description:

The Fourth International Conference on Onomastics ''Name and Naming''
Sacred and Profane in Onomastics.

Sections:

Sacred and Profane in Anthroponymy
Sacred and Profane in Toponymy
Sacred and Profane in Names in Public Space (e.g., commercial names etc.)

The official languages of the conference are Romanian, English, French,
Italian, German and Spanish.

The conference will be held in the main building of “Petre Dulfu” County
Library in Baia Mare. All conference rooms are equipped with computers and
projectors. The computers all run on Windows XP and use Microsoft Office
2007/2010. Most fonts and characters are supported. If you have a PowerPoint
presentation, please make sure to save it in a format compatible with
PowerPoint 2007/2010.

There is WiFi internet connection at the conference venue, but also at the
North University Centre and at the hotels.

“Petre Dulfu” County Library is located in the city centre and it is within a
max. 10-minutes’ walk from all accommodation options.


Call for Papers:

We welcome contributions of abstracts for presentation during ICONN4.
Presentations during the conference will be 25 minutes in length (20 minutes
for presentation and 5 minutes for discussion. 

To submit an abstract for the conference, fill out the registration section
form on the conference website
(http://onomasticafelecan.ro/iconn4/en/registration.php). Registration for
abstract submission must occur between December 1, 2016 and April 1, 2017.

The Proceedings of the International Conference on Onomastics ''Name and
Naming'' (ICONN 1, ICONN 2, ICONN 3) have been indexed in the following
