Meeting Description:

Teachers, researchers and experts in the field of English language
learning-teaching are welcomed to submit their paper proposals for the Fifth
edition of the International Congress for English Teachers which will take
place in Bogotá, Colombia, on 7 and 8 October 2016. This event is organized
and sponsored by the English B.A. program, Universidad La Gran Colombia.

The Congress topics include but are not confined to the following areas:

- Bilingualism and cross-cultural education.
- Biliteracy and early biliteracy.
- The role of university English teachers and the EFL/bilingual curriculum
development.
- English for specific purposes (ESP) or English for academic purposes (EAP).
- L2 research experiences in non-bilingual contexts.
- EFL and labor market opportunities in Colombia.
- Global multilingualism and social network.
- The use of CLIL in an inclusive education environment.
- Ubiquitous teaching and learning processes.
- The building of interculturality in language education.


Call for Papers:

5th International Congress for English Teachers

Submission Guidelines:

Papers should follow the parameters displayed below: 

- The author’s information (full name of the author(s), institutional
affiliation and location, contact number, personal and institutional email).
This information will not be provided for peer reviewers. 
- Abstract (250-words maximum).
- Title (must not exceed 15 words).
- Paper proposal: The length should not exceed 1500, including abstract and
references. It can be either a report of an in-progress or concluded research
study (abstract, keywords, introduction, theoretical framework, methodology,
findings, discussion and conclusion) or a pedagogical experience (abstract,
keywords, introduction, theoretical framework, description of the intervention
process in a given educational setting, results of the experience, conclusions
and references).
- All references and in-text citations should be in APA format.

The submission deadline is 19 September 2016. Papers can be sent to any of the
following emails: decano.educacion at ugc.edu.co, elizabeth.rojas at ugc.edu.co, and
sthephanny.moncada at ugc.edu.co. All proposals will go through a blind review
process carried out by the organizing committee and notification of acceptance
will be given by 26 September 2016.
