Meeting Description:

The conference aims at assessing the impact of the economic and academic
globalization on the objects and purposes of modern linguistic and
interdisciplinary research, forms and innovative methods of teaching foreign
languages for professional purposes.

Themes: 

1. Teaching foreign languages for professional purposes under increasing
academic internationalization and mobility
2. Recent theoretical and methodological trends in modern linguistic research
3. Teaching translation for the global academic and business information
exchange
4. Innovative technologies in teaching and studying foreign languages in the
global educational environment.
5. Prospects for interdisciplinary research: applied linguistics,
ethnolinguistics, sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics, linguistic and cultural
studies and philosophy of language.

Organizational Aspects:

The conference comprises the plenary and panel sessions, webinar and certified
workshops. Time limit for reports at the sessions: 10 min.

Languages: English, Ukrainian and Russian.

The Conference Proceedings book will be published prior to the conference and
handed to the participants at the registration procedure.


2nd Call for Papers:

2nd International Conference Language Research and Teaching in the Global
Economic Environment
6 October 2016, Kyiv, Ukraine

16 September 2016 is the deadline for sending the application form and
conference paper to the Organizing Committee: knu-conference2016 at ukr.net. The
files sent should be in the .doc format indicating the author's name, for
example: slisarenko.doc. (Please do not send your conference paper in docx
format)

The registration fee (150 UAH) shall be paid only subject to the acceptance of
the paper for publication. Payment details for registration fee will be sent
to the accepted participants together with the confirmation letter. Should you

The participants will need to cover their travel and accommodation expenses.

Guidelines for Contributors:

1. The paper: A4 five full pages in standard text- font Times New Roman, size
14, line spacing 1, indentation - 1.25, all margins: 2 cm.
2. The paper should comprise the following mandatory structural elements:

- Abstract
- Keywords
- Problem analysis and current research
- The purpose and methodology of the study
- Findings
- Conclusions and suggestions
- List of references (no more than two or three names.)
