Meeting Description:

The University of Aberdeen will host a Postgraduate conference in Linguistics
at Aberdeen on Saturday, 26 November 2016. PGCLA is open to postgraduate
researchers from all branches of Linguistics to share their research.

We are delighted to announce that this year’s plenary speakers will be:

- Professor James Milton from the University of Swansea
- Professor Robert McColl Millar from the University of Aberdeen.

Call for Papers:

The Call for Papers for PGCL Aberdeen 2016 is now open. Before submitting your
abstract, please note the following.

Key Dates:

Abstract submission opens: 26 September 2016
Abstract submission deadline: 26 October 2016
Notification to presenters: 9 November 2016
Conference: 26 November 2016

We invite postgraduate (Masters and PhD) students and early career researchers
to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations on any topic in language
and linguistics and all language-related areas in education.

Accepted papers will be allotted 20 minutes for presentation and 10 minutes
for discussion. There will be a dedicated poster session on the day of the

Submission Guidelines:

- The abstract should not exceed 400 words (excluding references, but
including examples and tables) and it should be anonymous. Please, submit your
abstract as a PDF/WORD file only.
- During the submission process, state whether you want your abstract to be
considered for an oral or a poster presentation.
