Description:

The Department of Chinese Studies of the National University of Singapore
invites applications for the following position at the Assistant Professor /
Associate Professor level (Tenure track) or Lecturer / Senior Lecturer /
Associate Professor level (Educator track) in 2016-17:

Chinese Phonetics/Phonology.

Preference will be given to those who also have research interests in Chinese
Dialectology and Sociolinguistics. The minimum academic qualification for the
appointment is a doctoral degree. The successful candidate will possess
native-speaking, or near native-speaking, competence in both Chinese and
English. They will be expected to teach both undergraduate and graduate
courses (in Chinese and English), and supervise graduate students. Candidates
should have strong research training and potential.

For appointments to Associate Professor (Tenure track), candidates must
demonstrate a track record of significant publications and successful
