We are looking for a curious computational linguist with an interest in
natural language processing, a passion for English, and excellent knowledge of
English grammar. Join us for a chance to work with an awesome team of
linguists, software engineers, and world-class scientific advisors on the
creation of state-of-the-art technology for perfecting written English.

What You Will Accomplish:

- Analyze natural language, recognize patterns and exceptions to them
- Use rule-based and statistical methods in natural language processing to
develop and improve error-correction checks
- Create and improve test and training data for our NLP applications; work
with corpora and dictionaries
- Research different modes, genres, and styles of writing to improve
Grammarly’s performance for them. Participate in the development of new checks
for text improvement
- Perform programming projects in the area of text processing and analysis
- Over time, participate in ML/DL research and development for NLP

Qualifications:

- M.S. in linguistics, computational linguistics, or another
linguistics-related discipline
- Fluent English, great understanding of English grammar, syntax, semantics,
and usage, especially in writing
- At least 1 year of experience in computational linguistics/NLP
- Basic programming experience and a desire to acquire programming skills are
a must
- Basic knowledge and understanding of natural language processing algorithms
- An open, honest, kind, and cheerful disposition, plus a decent sense of
humor
- Experience teaching English as a first or a second language preferred
