Meeting Description:

This conference is designed to provide young researchers in linguistics with
an opportunity to present and discuss their research in a friendly and
intellectually stimulating setting. On 24 November, a Workshop on Language
Acquisition will be held with the invited speakers Ana Lúcia Santos
(CLUL-FLUL) and Maria Lobo (CLUNL-FCSH).

The Young Researchers Group of CLUNL is pleased to announce the XII Forum for
Linguistic Sharing, which will take place on 23 and 24 of November 2017, at
Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas,Universidade Nova de Lisboa (Lisbon,
Portugal). On 24 November, a Workshop on Language Acquisition will be held
with the invited speakers Ana Lúcia Santos (CLUL-­‐FLUL) and Maria Lobo
(CLUNL-­‐FCSH).


2nd Call for Papers:

XII Forum for Linguistic Sharing
23 and 24 November 2017, Lisbon, Portugal

We invite postgraduate (Masters and PhD) students to submit abstracts for oral
presentation on any area   of linguistics, including: educational linguistics,
historical linguistics,language acquisition,lexicography and lexicology,
morphology, phonology, pragmatics, psycholinguistics, semantics, syntax,
sociolinguistics, terminology and  text linguistics.

The abstracts   should   be   sent   to   jiclunl at fcsh.unl.pt until 28 April.
Accepted papers will be allotted 20 minutes for presentation and  10 minutes
for discussion.

Submission Guidelines:

Each author may submit at most one abstract. The abstracts can be written in
Portuguese or English, which will be the working languages of the conference.
Two versions of the abstract must be submitted: an anonymous one and an
identified one. Each version must  be  submitted  in  Word format. We expect
to publish the proceedings of the conference;  the  interested  authors 
should submit an abstract in English.

The abstract should be organized as follows:

- Title
- Author(s): name(s), affiliation, degree/attended course and email address
- Area(s) of linguistics
- Abstract (maximum 500 words), which should address the following aspects:
topic and its relevance, objectives, methodology, description of results
- Keywords (maximum 5)
- References (maximum 10)

The text should be written in Times New Roman, 12pt, with 1.5 spacing, on an
A4 page with 2.5 cm margins on all sides.

Deadline for submission of abstracts: 28 April, 2017
Notification of acceptance/rejection: 15 June, 2017
