Meeting Description:

The 43rd Austrian Linguistics Conference will be held at Alpen-Adria
Universität Klagenfurt from December 8 to 10, 2017.

The following keynote speakers have accepted our invitation:

Professor Sebastian Kempgen (University of Bamberg, Germany)
Professor Marc Lauersdorf (University of Kentucky, USA)


Call for Papers:

For paper presentations in the general conference sessions, you are invited to
submit an abstract (in English or German) as a word file or pdf document (max.
300 words excluding references) by July 31, 2017 to oelt2017 at aau.at. Abstracts
should be anonymous and preceded by a title sheet that specifies the author(s)
name(s) and affiliation(s). If you intend to give a poster presentation,
please clearly state so on the title sheet. Notification of acceptance will be
sent out by September 15, 2017.

Apart from talks in the general sessions, a limited number of workshops will
also be hosted. Presentations in workshops need to follow the regular
conference format of 20 min + 10min discussion. Proposals for workshops (in
English or German) need to include a title, a short description of the topic
and purpose of the workshop (max. 300 words), contact details of the workshop
organizer(s), and information on the planned number of papers (including, if
possible, potential presenters and paper titles). Please submit your proposal
to oelt2017 at aau.at by May 31, 2017. Notification of acceptance will be given
by June 20, 2017. Workshop organizers will be responsible for selecting papers
and setting up the workshop programme. 

The conference languages are German and English.

Conference fee: EUR 30; EUR 10 for students
