Meeting Description:

The University of Edinburgh Linguistics and English Language Postgraduate
Conference (LEL PG) is an annual event, where postgraduates showcase their
research, receive feedback, and network. This year's conference will be held
from 29-31 May 2017.
 
The conference offers a great opportunity to refine thoughts, share concerns
and receive constructive criticism in a supportive and convivial environment.
Additionally, it provides an opportunity to gain experience in conference
presentation.

Our plenary speakers for the event are Professor John Joseph and Dr Vicky
Chondrogianni.

2nd Call for Papers:

We have extended the call deadline to the 10 of April and are still accepting
submissions for oral presentations and posters. The standard length of a talk
will be 20 minutes, followed by 5 minutes of questions. Papers relevant to
Linguistics and English Language are welcome and submissions by both
University of Edinburgh and external students are highly encouraged.

To apply, please submit an abstract in PDF format (500 word maximum, excluding
references) via the EasyAbs submission system at
http://linguistlist.org/easyabs/lel-pgc-2017 by midnight on the 10 of April
2017. Templates for LaTeX and Word Document formats can be found on the
conference website (http://www.lel.ed.ac.uk/~pgc). All abstracts will be
subject to peer review and notification of acceptance will be provided by
mid-April.
