Description:

The institute of linguistics at the University of Leipzig, Germany, has
funding for a temporary research fellow position, beginning October 1, 2017.
The duration of the position depends upon the duration of previous positions
held by the applicant, as well as upon the nature of the qualifying goals
(Qualifikationsziele, e.g. Habilitation) pursued by the applicant. The
anticipated payscale is E13 TV-L. 

The duties associated with the position include: Teaching the methods seminars
('experimental methods in linguistics', 'statistics') at the BA and MA levels,
as well as in the PhD program of the IGRA. Furthering your own research
agenda, for example by writing a Habilitation Participation in the cooperative
research programs of the institute Supervision of BA and MA theses 

Application Requirements: 
Ideal candidates are characterized by a proven research record of applying
experimental methodologies to linguistic questions, peer-reviewed
publications, and international visibility. Candidates should have a good
understanding of statistics, and should be familiar with a statistical
programming language (e.g. R, Stan, etc). Applicants should have a PhD in
linguistics, with degree in hand.
