Although Arabic is a major world language of the 21st Century, with increasing
numbers of people around the world choosing to study it, teachers and learners
engaged in Arabic language programmes face many well documented challenges.

In this conference, we will explore the role that creativity may take in
addressing these challenges and celebrate the innovative practices of Arabic
language teachers around the world. It will bring together distinguished
Arabic experts, researchers and practitioners as well as world renowned
speakers from related fields.

The main themes of the conference:

- Creative approaches in research, learning and the teaching of Arabic
language.
- Innovation in Arabic language Teacher Education: Employability & teacher
development.

The conference will bring together educators, academics, researchers,
practitioners, experts, teachers and policy makers in the field of Arabic
Language teaching and learning, also involving well known speakers from the
field of general language teaching methodology. It will be an open forum for
discussion of the current needs and issues as well as an exploration of future
directions for the teaching and learning of Arabic in the 21st century.

There will be keynote speakers from the UK, Europe, the USA and the Arab
world, and will include: plenaries, talks, presentations, workshops, open
forum, round table and an exhibition, as well as students' performances in
Arabic.
