Meeting Description:

The conference has two major objectives, namely to discuss African languages
and literatures in the context of sustainable development, which is a primary
preoccupation of most African countries, and to examine African languages,
literature and culture in the light of the new socio-political and economic
dynamics of our continent.

Submission of Abstracts:

Abstracts of not more than 300 words should be emailed, not later than 30
April, 2018, to the following email addresses: Professor H.M. Batibo
batibohm at mopipi.ub.bw or Dr. P.S. Seloma selomap at mopipi.ub.bw. Abstracts
should be single-spaced, at least 11-points font, on one page (A4) with 2.54
cm (1 inch) on left and right margins. Apart from the title and abstract text,
authors' names, institutional affiliation, and contact information should not
appear on the abstract page. Such information should be on a separate page. As
soon as an abstract is received, the Organizing Committee will consider its
relevance to the Conference and a decision will be made and communicated to
the author promptly.

Important Dates:

(a) Conference date: 13-15 June, 2018
(b) Abstract deadline: 30 April, 2018

Registration:
Participants will be required to pay a registration fee of P2000.00 or US$200
or R2300.00 Students will pay P500.00 or US$50 or R650.00. UB Staff are to pay
P1000.00.
