Meeting Description:

The Celtic Linguistics Conference is a biennial conference about all aspects
of linguistic research on the Celtic languages. The conference includes papers
and posters on any of the following topics: phonology, phonetics, syntax,
sociolinguistics, historical development, speech technology, and issues
relevant to minority languages.

Call for Papers:

The call for papers for the 10th Celtic Linguistics Conference is now open. 

The conference will take place from 4-5 September 2018 at Maynooth University.
Abstracts are invited for presentations on all aspects of linguistic research
on the Celtic languages. Topics of interest include (but are not limited to)
syntax, phonology, phonetics, sociolinguistics, historical development and
speech technology, as well as issues specific to research on endangered and
revitalized languages.

The deadline for submission is 15 January 2018.

Abstracts are to be submitted as a .pdf, or .doc file to the conference email:

celticlinguisticsconference10 at gmail.com

Abstract format: 2 pages maximum (A4 or letter-sized, 12pt font, 2.5cm/1-inch
margins), including examples and references. Abstracts will be reviewed
anonymously, so authors are asked to avoid self-references in their abstracts
and to ensure that the document properties of the file do not include author
details.

The conference will include oral presentations (30 minutes, including
discussion) and poster presentations. When submitting the abstract, the
author(s) will be asked to indicate their presentation format preference (if
any).

For oral presentations, we welcome papers in English or any Modern Celtic
Language. For abstracts, we ask for English only for ease of review.

Important dates:

Abstract submission closes: 15 January 2018
Notification of acceptance: 15 February 2018
Conference: 4–5 September 2018
