Meeting Description:

The Centre for French & Linguistics (CFL) and the Linguistics Students
Association (LSA) is proud to announce the 5th Annual Scarborough
Undergraduate Linguistics Conference, happening on Friday, March 2nd, 2018!

The conference will be taking place at the University of Toronto Scarborough
Campus in Toronto, ON, Canada. 

Details about the schedule will be made available closer to the date of the
conference.

Call for Papers:

We are currently accepting abstract submissions from any and all subfields of
Linguistics and we welcome presentations in any format (PowerPoint, talk,
poster, etc.). Upon submitting your abstract, please include information about
your format choice. 

For the 5th Annual Scarborough Undergraduate Linguistics Conference, we are
currently accepting:

One (1) page abstracts (300 words max.) presenting any aspect of language
analysis : phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics,
sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics, computational linguistics, historical
linguistics, language acquisition, language variation, multilingualism,
comparative analysis, etc.

Maximum of one (1) sole author and one (1) co-authored paper per person. 

We welcome papers from any discipline (in-progress or complete).

Prizes: 

- Cash prizes for Top 3 research papers.
- Certificate awards for each participating student. 
- Selected papers to be published in the conference proceedings

Details & Deadline for Submission: 

- Must be sent in via E-MAIL as attachments in MS Word or PDF format to
sulc.utsc at gmail.com by January 20, 2018. 
- An adjudication committee will select the papers to be included in the
conference. Students with accepted submissions will be contacted the week of
January 29, 2018.
