Subject: Austin Principles of Data Citation in Linguistics

 
The Austin Principles of Data Citation in Linguistics have been developed by
the Linguistics Data Interest Group of the Research Data Alliance (RDA), to
encourage and facilitate better data citation practice in our discipline.

These guiding principles have been created to enable linguists to make
decisions about their data that ensure it is as accessible and transparent as
possible. Some subfields of linguistics may already have specific guidelines
for data citation; in these cases the Austin Principles can supplement extant
guidelines to ensure that data citation conforms with current best practices.

You can see the full set of Austin Principles and supporting information, as
well as add your name to the list of linguists who endorse the Austin
Principles at: www.linguisticdatacitation.org

You can use the Austin Principles to guide your own research, or to facilitate
conversation in your departments, professional organizations, archives and
