Description:

The Linguistics Department at the University of Kentucky invites applications
for the MA program in Linguistic Theory and Typology (MALTT). The program
offers two-year funded teaching and research fellowships for select students.
All applicants to the MALTT program will be considered for funded positions. 

The MALTT program offers courses across a wide range of linguistic subfields
and emphasizes training in linguistic theory and research methods. All
students must complete a thesis based on original research. Graduates of the
program have gone on to work in industry and education and to continue studies
at a number of top doctoral programs. An undergraduate degree in linguistics
is not required for admission and students with backgrounds in related areas
are encouraged to apply. Additional information about the program is available
