Description:

The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) is a government-funded tertiary
institution in Hong Kong.  It offers programmes at various levels including
Doctorate, Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees.  It has a full-time academic staff

The Faculty of Humanities of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University is among the
youngest humanities faculties in Hong Kong.  Dedicated to creating synergies
among language, culture, and science in education and research, the Faculty
focuses on the application of knowledge and skills.  The Faculty comprises
three departments and three centres.  The Faculty is a leading tertiary
education provider in Greater China and Asia in the fields of applied language
sciences, intercultural communication, and Chinese culture studies.  Gaining

The successful candidate should be qualified to be appointed as Chair
Professor in one of the three constituent departments, and will hold a
concurrent deanship appointment.  The deanship appointment is normally for an
aggregate period of six years in two three-year terms of office.  Post
