Description:

Applicants should have (i) native or near native language proficiency in
Korean; (ii) a relevant Master’s degree or above; (iii) linguistics training
background; (iv) at least two years of experience in teaching courses in
Korean as a foreign/second language (v) an interest in the development of
language teaching methodology and second language acquisition; and (vi)
experience in curriculum development. Experience in teaching Asian learners is
an advantage.

The appointee will (i) teach Korean language courses including specialized
courses (such as course on Business Korean); (ii) teach courses related to
Korean culture and literature in English;  (iii) coordinate Korean language
courses of different levels with a team of part-time teachers;  (iv) organize
student learning activities; and (v) undertake programme administrative
duties. Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for up to two
years commencing August 2018, renewable subject to performance, funding and
mutual agreement.
