Topic for 2017: ''Theoretical and applied methods for evaluating (a)typical
language''

The Conference on Interdisciplinary Approaches to Linguistic Theory aims at
bringing together scholars from theoretical linguistics, cognitive studies,
applied psycholinguistics, neurolinguistics, clinical linguistics and
educational studies. Especially over the last two decades, prominent trends
within the individual fields have led to an increase of specialization,
resulting in a never before seen diversity of methods and techniques. The
theme of the first year's meeting ''Theoretical and Applied methods for
evaluating (a)-typical language'' intends to promote communication among these
disciplines by inviting research on the general methodology and tools used in
accessing language development and language deviation. Special emphasis is
given on evaluating (a)typical language and the theoretical insights to be
gained from interdisciplinary research in this area.

The conference will be held October 6 (Friday) - 8 (Sunday) 2017, in
Rethymnon, Crete (Greece).

Call for Papers:

The Division of Linguistics (Department of Philology), University of Crete,
and the Research Unit on Experimental Syntax and Heritage Languages, Humboldt
University (Berlin) invite submissions for the 1st Conference on
Interdisciplinary Approaches to Linguistic Theory. 

The Conference on Interdisciplinary Approaches to Linguistic Theory 1
encourages submissions dealing with methodological and theoretical issues
related to language development, language deviation and typical/atypical
language. 

Abstracts may be submitted for an oral presentation of 20 minutes, followed by
10 minutes discussion, or the poster session at
https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=cialt1. Format: pdf, A4, Times New
Roman 12pt, 1 inch/2.5cm margins. Abstracts are not to exceed two pages,
including references, data, pictures and tables/graphs. Each author may submit
a maximum of two abstracts (either one single-authored and one joint- paper,
or two joint papers). The conference language is English.
