The Opportunity

Monash Linguistics and Applied Linguistics

fill a continuing position to be taken up (preferably) by July 2017. As the
appointee to this position, you are expected to have a dynamic research and
teaching profile. 

We seek candidates with a strong track record in applied
linguistics/linguistics with research expertise in English as an International
Language, Linguistics and Applied Linguistics.

Monash Linguistics and Applied Linguistics has a long history and an
outstanding track record of ground breaking research in English as an
International Language. In general it is expected that the research interests
of the appointee would complement those of the current staff members of Monash
Linguistics and Applied Linguistics see

We expect candidates to show evidence of a strong interest in
interdisciplinary research. Candidates must have previous experience of
teaching applied linguistics subjects that focus on English as an
International Language, Linguistics and Applied Linguistics at the tertiary
level. It is expected that the successful candidate will be actively involved
in recruiting and supervising graduate students, in particular PhD students. 

This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may
be negotiated.
