Meeting Description:

The 1st Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Semantics conference will be held at
the University of Macau (Macau S.A.R., P.R.C.) from 10 -12 May.

The conference aims at bringing together scholars and researchers from
different disciplines, as well as theoretical approaches, in order to promote
dialogues on semantics across disciplines. 


Call for Papers:

The 1st conference on Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Semantics intends to
bring together multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary perspectives on the
role of semantics and semantic interpretation. Interdisciplinary Perspectives
on Semantics will be hosted by the Department of Portuguese of the University
of Macau, from 10 - 12 May 2017.

We invite paper and/or poster presentations on semantics from different
theoretical and methodological approaches from the perspective of various
disciplines, including, but not limited to:

- Computational semantics
- Computational psycholinguistics
- Computational linguistics (translation studies)
- Formal semantics
- Philosophy of language
- Psycholinguistics (first and second language processing paradigms)
- Cognitive linguistics (first and second language)
- Generative linguistics (first and second language)
- Discourse
- Pragmatics 
- Syntax

Submissions:

Authors may submit one abstract as the first author and no more than a second
abstract as co-author. We also welcome joint presentations from two or more
fields of enquiry. Abstracts should have a maximum of 400 words, excluding
references, title and keywords. Presentations will be for 20 minutes in panel
sessions.

Submission of Abstracts:  22 February - 26 March 2017
Notification: 10 April 2017
Early bird registration: 10 April – 21 April
Full fee registration: 22 April – 2 May
Registration deadline for presenters: 21 April
