Meeting Description:

CIDSM 12 will feature a one-day workshop on (Italo-)Greek varieties:
(Italo-)Greek Dialects Past & Present:Investigating the Grammars of Endangered
Varieties.
 
The workshop will be held on the first day of the meeting (3 July). 

The invited speakers for the Workshop are:

- Angela Ralli, University of Patras
- Ioanna Sitaridou, University of Cambridge

The workshop will also feature a presentation of current research by the
Leverhulme-funded project ‘Fading Voices in Southern Italy’ (PI: Adam
Ledgeway, https://greekromanceproject.wordpress.com) and the AHRC-funded
project ‘Greek in Italy’ (PI: James Clackson,
https://greekinitaly.wordpress.com).


Call for Papers:

Abstracts on any aspect of the syntax and/or morphology of the dialects of
Italy will be considered for presentation in the general session, while
abstracts on the syntax and/or morphology of Italo-Greek will be considered
for the Workshop. 

Abstracts for both the main session and the workshop are invited for 20-minute
talks (plus 10 for questions). Submissions are limited to 1 individual and 1
joint abstract per author, or 2 joint abstracts per author. The abstract
should include the title, but not the author’s name(s), which must be
specified in the submission email, along with the affiliation. If your
abstract is intended for the Workshop, please specify this in in your
submission. Abstracts should be no longer than two pages in length (including
examples and references), in 12-point font size.

The conference languages are English and Italian.

Deadline:

Abstracts must be submitted no later than 15 February 2017.
Speakers will be notified of the results of their abstract review by 15 March
2017.
