Description:

The post holder will create and disseminate knowledge by initiating and
conducting original research, publishing in their area of research expertise,
and developing and delivering undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. In
addition, the post holder will contribute to the Department and School by
undertaking academic administration as appropriate to the appointment. The
main research fields within the Department are corpus linguistics, discourse
analysis/stylistics, and cognitive linguistics/psycholinguistics. We are keen
to appoint a candidate who is working in at least one of these fields and who
is conducting research that has clear real-world applications (for example, to
health, business, teaching or other social contexts).
