The project Variation and Change in the Scandinavian Verb Phrase is pleased to
announce a workshop at the University of Oslo, 15–16 May 2017. The purpose of
the workshop is to bring together researchers who work on verbal syntax from a
historical or microcomparative perspective. 

Keynote speaker: Professor Paul Kiparsky (Stanford)


Call for Papers:

Workshop: Variation and Change in the Verb Phrase
15-16 May, 2017

We invite abstracts for 40-minute presentations (30 minutes + 10 minutes for
discussion) on any aspect of variation and change in the verbal domain. We are
especially interested in submissions that discuss variation and change
pertaining to the syntax of particles, reflexives, benefactives and
resultatives, and work that contributes to the general theoretical
understanding of linguistic variation and change.

Abstract submissions must fit on one A4 page, Times New Roman script, 12 pt. A
second, optional page can be used for examples, diagrams, charts, and
references.
