Duties/Responsibilities:  

You will contribute to the Centre’s rapidly growing Linguistics portfolio and
actively engage with the Centre’s Research Groups and activities. 

Skills/Experience required: 

You will be an ambitious academic, with expertise in General Linguistics.
Applicants with a specialism in general linguistics as well as one or more of
the following are particularly encouraged to apply: sociophonetics, language
variation and change, historical linguistics, cognitive pragmatics,
computational linguistics. This is an exciting opportunity for a Linguist with
an interest in curriculum development to play a key role in the expanding
provision in general linguistics at Warwick.  

You will have a PhD in a relevant field. You will have an excellent record of
recent, high quality publications in top-rated journals (commensurate with
level of experience) and successful experience of teaching general linguistics
at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels. You will have solid knowledge of
general linguistics pedagogy and able to contribute to modules that meet
teaching needs in Linguistics.
 
The post is advertised at both Assistant Professor and Associate Professor
level.
