Meeting Description:

The 4th annual Scarborough Undergraduate Linguistics Conference will be held
on Friday, March 3, 2017. Organized by the Linguistics Student Association
(LSA) and the UTSC Centre for French & Linguistics, SULC welcomes research
from undergraduate students all across Canada and the United States. The
conference is a one-day event that will take place on the University of
Toronto Scarborough Campus in Toronto. Presenters will have the opportunity to
share their research with fellow peers and faculty members, and will have the
chance to participate in a short Q&A regarding their research. After the
conference, there will be a reception for all presenters, faculty, and
attendees.


Call for Abstracts:

One page abstract (300 words max.) for presentation on any aspect of language
analysis: phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics,
sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics, historical linguistics, computational
linguistics, language acquisition, language variation, multilingualism,
comparative analysis, etc.

Maximum of one sole author and one co-authored paper per person.

Prizes:

Cash prizes for Top 3 research papers; Certificate award for each
participating student; Selected papers to be published in the conference
proceedings.

Deadline for submission:

Must be sent in via email as attachments in (MS Word or PDF format) to
sulc.utsc at gmail.com by January 27, 2017

An adjudication committee will select the papers to be included in the
conference. Students with accepted submissions will be contacted the week of
February 13.
