Description:

The University of Konstanz, with its “Institutional Strategy to promote
Top-Level Research”, has been receiving continuous funding since 2007 within
the framework of the Excellence Initiative by the German Federal and State
Governments.

Within the DFG research group “Questions at the Interfaces“ (Department of
Linguistics, Department of Computer and Information Science) we are looking to
fill the following position: 1 Doctoral Student (Salary Scale 13 TV-L/100 %)

Applicants are invited for a 24-month full-time position in the research
project ''Visualization of Text Structures''. The successful applicant is
expected to undertake research toward a PhD in computer science. The position
is available as of 1 September 2017. 

The position can be prolonged after the initial phase. In principle, this
position can be divided into two half-time positions. 

Requirements: 

Applicants should have a M.A. degree (or equivalent) in computer science or a
related field and experience with computer graphics and information
visualization.
