Meeting Description:

The Arizona Linguistics Circle is an annual graduate student-run conference
held at the University of Arizona. The theme of this year's conference is
Innovative Methods in Linguistics, and abstracts for language revitalization
talks are especially encouraged this year. However, abstracts from all areas
of linguistics are welcome and encouraged. Our goal is to provide a welcoming
yet constructive environment for linguistic inquiry and the dissemination of
new and continuing linguistic research.

This year, we plan to hold a special session on language revitalization. If
you would like to be considered for the language revitalization session,
please choose that option when you submit your abstract. If your abstract is
not selected for the language revitalization session, you will still be
considered for the general session.

Abstract submission deadline extended: August 8, 2017

We are pleased to invite talk proposals for the Arizona Linguistics Circle 11.
The Arizona Linguistics Circle is an annual graduate student-run conference
held on the campus of the University of Arizona. The theme of this year's
conference is Innovative Methods in Linguistics, but abstracts from all areas
of linguistics are welcome and encouraged. Our goal is to provide a welcoming
yet constructive environment for linguistic inquiry and the dissemination of
new and continuing linguistic research. In addition to our general theme,
there will be a special session on Language Revitalization. Please indicate in
your submission if you would like your abstract to be considered for this
session. 

Submissions are limited to one individual and one joint abstract per author.
Abstracts should be a maximum of 500 words in length not including keywords
and references. Abstracts are invited for 20-minute talks with 10-minute
question periods to follow.
