Description:

We have a part time (50%) research assistant position to work on the ESRC-DFID
project ‘Multilingualism and Multi-literacy: Raising learning outcomes in
challenging contexts in primary schools across India’ a collaborative project
between the Universities of Reading (Prof Jeanine Treffers-Daller, Prof Theo
Marinis) and Cambridge (Prof Ianthi Tsimpli). The position is in the UK but
the research assistant will, among others, analyse data on Hindi. For more

This post is part of the ESRC-DFID project ‘Multilingualism and
Multi-literacy: Raising learning outcomes in challenging contexts in primary
schools across India’ a collaborative project between the Universities of
Reading and Cambridge. The purpose of this post is to support the project,
check and analyse data collected in India, maintain the web-site and write
reports, use language, literacy and executive function tasks with
bilingual/multilingual children in the UK, and contribute to the publication
of the results.

You will:
- have a first degree in applied and/or experimental linguistics, education or
cognitive psychology;
- be speaker of Hindi, Telugu or languages spoken in the state of Bihar;
- have research experience in linguistics, psychology, education or related
discipline;
- have excellent time management, and organisation skills and are able to work
independently.

Salary: £29,301 pro-rata per annum
