Dear colleague,

We would like to invite you to contribute to an important publication project
similar to the well-known International Handbook of Quantitative Linguistics.
The publisher is the de Gruyter (Berlin, Boston et al.) publishing company,
the editors are Reinhard Köhler, Sven Naumann and Peter Grzybek.

This project does not produce another handbook but a dictionary, which will be
published in German and in English - first as an online dictionary, later also
in printed form. The articles will be accepted in German and/or English.

Under https://www.uni-trier.de/fileadmin/fb2/LDV/Koehler/Lemmaliste.pdf you
will find a list of lemmas from which you can choose as many articles as you
want. You may also propose new lemmas. The structure of the corresponding
articles should, if possible, follow the included examples. The format of the
article will be that of a “Single Article” (p. 3-4:
http://www.uni-regensburg.de/sprache-literatur-kultur/allgemeine-vergleichende
-sprachwissenschaft/medien/wsk-13/authors_instruction_wsk_13.pdf). Please note
that the hierarchical micro-structure is slightly different from the given
example, see https://www.wsk.fau.de/files/2016/02/WSK-Exp7d-Englisch.pdf (p.
15-16) for an accurate pattern.

Each researcher in the field of quantitative linguistics, quantitative text
analysis, theoretical linguistics and related areas is welcome to contribute.
In particular, young researchers and PhD candidates will profit from this
project as the articles in the dictionary will be individually signed and
counted as full-fledged publications. Authors who contribute articles will get
free access to the entire dictionary (19 volumes on all linguistic
sub-disciplines, see https://www.degruyter.com/view/db/wsk – you can switch to
the English version at the top right corner after accepting).

For questions and applications please use these email addresses:

Hierarchical micro-structure:
Lemmaposition// Lemma position (o)
Deutsche Definiensposition // Short definition (in German) (o)
Äquivalentposition, englische Definiensposition // Position of English
equivalents (o), short definition (in English) (o)
Position für weitergehende Erklärungen (in der Form eines Angabetextes, mit
Beispiel zum Lemmazeichen) // Position for further explanation and discussion
(o for synopsis articles, f for single articles)
Synonymenposition // Position for synonyms (f)
Antonymenposition // Position for antonyms (f)
Erweiterte Verweisposition // Cross-reference position (o)
CD-ROM-Hinweis und Autor // CD/database (f) and position for the name of the
author(s) (o)
Literaturposition // Literature position (o)
